(More customer reviews)These were givend to me as a gift. There are no instructions with them so at first i tried to put in triple AAA batteries. Then i finally figured out that they take double A batteries. I have the blue one as well as the red one. The blue one is not that bright. Also, being that it's blue you are liable to get a ticket- a flashing blue light is not legal in most states. Although admittedly, although the cover is blue it does tend to have a dulled red flash.

The red one is ok, nothing great. These are heavier than most flashers than I've seen, probably because they take double AA batteries as opposed to AAA batteries. There are any number of better choices of flashers out there at about the same price range including some by Planet bike Planet Bike Blinky "1" 3-Led Rear Bicycle Light

I also use Planet Bike Beamer 3 LED Bicycle Light with Quick Cam Bracket Mount, illuminte hand and arm warmers(i don't think they are sold on Amazon anymore) and the Down Low Glow for my night rides Down Low Glow Lighting Kit - Two Tubes-Envy(green)
