(More customer reviews)I needed an inverter to charge my laptop and cell phone in the car on road trips, and this one fit the bill nicely.I have tested it out in the car with my computer plugged in, and it works fine.It powered my computer and supplied plenty of current to charge the battery while I was using it.
This thing is smart.If you try to run it off the 12V accessory outlet in your car without running the engine, the inverter lets out a constant beep telling you that you're going to run down your battery if you continue.According to the manual, this beep could also mean that the voltage dropped below 11.0V.I didn't know which it was in my particular case, but as soon as I started the engine, the squeal stopped and it was happy to charge my computer.
The ground fault interruptor, overpower and underpower warnings, battery drain warnings, auto shut-off, the 12V DC pass-through, and the option to hook the inverter directly to your battery are all very very useful features on a solid product.Well worth the reasonable price you pay!

A word of warning: if you need an inverter, make SURE you look at the amperage needed to power whatever it is you want to plug in!This one supplies 1.74 amps, which is more than enough for most laptops, game consoles, cell phones, and portable TVs, but ALWAYS double check and make sure.If you want to plug in a small fridge, for example, check the power requirements to make sure this thing can supply enough current!You'll save yourself a lot of frustration if you are certain of what you are buying.

I highly recommend this inverter!It's worth every penny, and it feels and performs like a much more expensive unit.

SOG Seal Revolver Knife - Silver Blade Review

(More customer reviews)This is an excellent knife, though a little larger than what I really need for my purposes. I use this knife for general outdoorsmanship (hiking/camping/hunting/fishing) and can't comment on its practicality as a tactical knife. The knife blade is extremely sharp and angled to hold its edge well. The saw is quite functional and can quickly cut through saplings up to 9" in diameter. The blade locks into the handle with a metal pin and feels totally secure and solid with no rattling. The ridge on the spine of the blade is perfect for pressing your thumb against when you need fine control, and a few serrations at the base of the blade function well for cutting quickly through rope (and tendons/ligaments/cartilage). The sheath is made of kydex -- a very durable hardened resin -- with a button retainer and a retractable belt/webbing clip. Both blades measure 4.75" in length, and tip to tail the knife measures 10.25". On my scale, it weighs 9.1 oz (257g) with sheath, 5.8 oz (165g) without. SOG is known for quality knives and this one is no exception.

(More customer reviews)This might be one of the worst electronic product designs I've seen.Plug in any power cord, even without a load on the other end, and this device makes an impressive radio transmitter.Broadband noise from 30 to well over 100MHz was horrific.Out of curiosity, I pulled the device apart to determine the source of the RF and what I found was a product with so many misaligned parts and poorly done work-arounds, it shouldn't even be passed off as a prototype.Note to the manufacturer: your CE stamp isn't even CE compliant.

(More customer reviews)I have a Home Theater system and used the Monster Cable white bulk cable to wire my system. I bought these to terminate cables for remote speakers into a Niles speaker box. While I don't think the Niles speaker spring clips are particularly dependable, these connectors were big disappointments and unreliable to the point that if you moved the speaker box at all, some of them would come loose. They did not grip the cable satisfactorily, their insulators kept falling off, and were generally unacceptable to handle heavy gauge cables.
I use a lot of monster cable products, but these were a huge disappointment.

(More customer reviews)I would have given this 5 stars, but the handle length to pull it is kind of short.I've had suitcases with longer pull handles!They could have made it telescopic or a fold and lock or something.Given I'm 6'3" this may not be a problem for many of you, but if you are 5'10 and over I would try searching for something in person that you can try out.I dragged this all over the city (the reason I wanted something stackable and on wheels) but the way I had to lean a bit to the right or left ended up hurting my back a bit - not a great way to begin a new project.However, it works great for everything else.Simple quick rolling a few yards is not bad, and the many compartments are great.However, I wish they had thought to make the bottom section with it's own lid like the top bin.That way when you take it all apart you could more easily bring one bin into one area and leave the other in another area.All in all though it works well enough.

(More customer reviews)I general contracted my own house build about three years ago.I noticed back in 2003 that my framing crew exclusively used the Senco framing nailers.In January of 2006 I decided to start finishing my basement (on my own this time) but I needed a framing nailer.I called "Jay" my original house framer to get a recommendation on framing nailers.He said that all he will ever use are Senco nailers.He has been using them for years and they are very reliable.He specifically mentioned the 701XP as the nailer his crew preferred.I went with his recommendation and am very pleased with it.I just finished two rooms in the basement, going through probably 1000 nails in the process...not a single jam.The Senco has "teeth" on the tip which make it easier to toe nail with than some of the other nailers.It is very powerful and has no problems burying a 3 inch nail perfectly at 90 pounds of air pressure.I've never bought a framing nailer before so I don't have much to compare it to.But, this nailer does a great job and the Amazon price is much better than I could get at one of my local big box discount stores at the time.Based on my experience I will stick with Senco for the entire line of air nailers that I'm going to need to finish my project.The other great advantage of the Senco nailer is that you can buy nails for it at just about any lumber yard or home discount store.If you go with a cheaper brand of nailer there's a good chance that you'll be limited on where you will be able go get nails for it, so stick with a popular brand that is used by the big boys, such as the Senco.
