Average Reviews:
(More customer reviews)The Byrd Cara Cara is one of the finest folding knives for the price. Despite being stainless steel, the blade's high carbon content makes it strong and offers excellent edge retention. But unlike cheap stainless knives ("surgical stainless"), you should keep it wiped down and put a drop or two of oil on it every now and again. Oh, and buy the G10 or FRM (fiberglass reinforced material) grips. The stainless grips tend to slip and slide when wet, plus they aren't very comfortable. The blade comes in plain and partially serrated. And the locking mechanism is very strong. The Byrd line of knives is produced by Spyderco, one of the premier names in strong, durable, well made knives.
