(More customer reviews)Maybe it hung around on a display for too long, or sat in a box on a shelf somewhere, but the holster I received was extremely stiff and hard (but not to the point where the leather was totally dry).
I attempted to soften up the leather a bit because it was so inflexible and I was having a difficult time getting my pruning shears into it.But the Neatsfoot oil, although darkening the leather considerably, didn't really soften it.
Maybe it's supposed to be this stiff?I don't know, having never seen this brand IRL, but I expected it to be a more "giving" (as I had seen a holster someone else at a local fruit tree sale was wearing a few months back).
On the other hand, this holster is extremely well made.As long as the leather is kept in good condition, I expect that it could last two generations.Maybe I should use it more?:)
