These Howard Leight Slim Ear Muff Holders are a danger to your nice earmuffs.
The first time I used one of these holders, I found my $150 electronic earmuffs in the dirt. The reason?Howard Leight Slim Ear Muff Holders, for some strange reason, uses a two part hinge design, with one part of the hinged holder clipping to your belt, and the other hinged part clipping to your earmuffs. The only problem is that the two-part plastic hinge is -- now get this -- held together by a simple friction fit, rather than by a metal pin like 99.9% of all other hinges in the world. And, with even the slightest force, the two-part hinge will easily separate, leaving your ear muffs to break in the fall to the concrete, or to get lost forever if you don't notice what happened.
Stick with the standard black plastic, non-hinged earmuff holder, such as the 'Wilson Combat Belt-Mounted Earmuff Holder' (which is actually cheaper than these holders, depending on the store).
