(More customer reviews)This is my library's new best friend.Unlike other reading lights that I've had the opposable arm is perfect, allowing you to adjust where the light shines.In addition the LED lights give off a far less harsh light than the book lights that use a regular bulb.It did take a little finagling to find the right place to clip it, for me when the book (hardcover) is open clipping the light just to the right of the upper left hand corner angled to the lower right hand corner at approximately a 45 degree angle illuminates the whole book with ease.I will probably pick up at least 2 more for myself and will give several as gifts, provided there are any of these ingenious little devices left.

(More customer reviews)Love the Great point light pocket magnifier!works great, especially if you forget your glasses and can't read the menu when you are out for dinner.... the light is a bonus in a dark restaurant, too.I would have given 5 stars if it came with a case that covers the glass.The clear plastic case it comes in is a little tacky and I'd be willing to pay a little more for a nice case to protec the lens.

No matter how or where you sit in your seat, there is no light available or limited amounts. I bought this devise to get more light on a recent train trip. well IT worked better than i thought.

After adjusting the light around my neck (which in my opinion is the largest setback to this being a 5 star product), there was enough light for me to read the novel on a train trip.

For those of you who want a light when you travel, i say get this and enjoy your trip

(More customer reviews)I bought this item brand new and in hot pink colored (caught my eye). Flashy, small & cool looking! However, it contains 1 LED light which is bright but not wide spread. So when reading it lights up only the center of the page. You will have to constantly reposition it to keep from straining your eyes.The constant bending and reposition will affect the fragile wiring on this thing.About 10-15 uses after buying this product, I noticed a flikering (very annoying).It slowly worsens the more I used it. In fact, I put the thing away and haven't used it again b/c of the annoyance. Thank goodness I didn't pay much for it. Value for the money is about a "7" because you get what you pay for.Spend the money and try something else with more than 1 LED in it. My next bet is finding something with a real light bulb in it or maybe I will just annoy my husband at bed time and read with the lights on :)

(More customer reviews)This is my second book light from Mighty Bright. I also have a Might Bight Xtra Flex 2-LED Book Light, which I absolutely love!

The Mighty Bright Telescoping Triple LED Book Light is sleek and attractive. It has a telescoping arm that retracts completely so the book light can double as a flashlight. With 3 LED's, this book light is BRIGHT! It is, however, only marginally brighter than the Xtra Flex 2-LED Book Light, which has only 2 LED's. It can be powered with 3 AAA batteries or with an AC adapter (included).

The Mighty Bright Telescoping book light has one shortcoming: the telescoping arm is a tad too short. When the book light is used on a larger book, the light tends to be focused on the middle of both pages rather than diffused over the pages - even with the arm fully extended. This presents a problem especially for the top of the pages where the illumination is the weakest. The focused light can also cause a problem with glare on pages that are glossy or semi-glossy.

The Mighty Bright Telescoping book light is ideal as a free-standing task light but it falls short as a clip-on book light. Overall, it is quite usable, but I would really recommend the Xtra Flex 2-LED Book Light instead. The Xtra Flex Book Light has a long and flexible gooseneck that can be easily positioned to direct the light for a more even illumination.

(More customer reviews)The light is so dim, you have to hold the book to your face in order to see the pages.I did this for about 2 weeks before I realized I was straining my eyes too much (not good), was thinking I need to get a different reading lamp, then all of a sudden the light just burned out on me.After two weeks.And I don't use it every night and never for longer than 30 minutes.Even though it's cheap, don't purchase this lamp...the quality is very cheap. Mighty Bright lamps from Borders for $15 work 10 times better.

(More customer reviews)I bought three of these in blue (a spare for me and one for my brother) after thoroughly reading all of the comments on competitive brands. I found the comments praising this model to be right on the mark. When I read it lit up both pages at the same time using dual lights where all other brands required constant repositioning for each page, that was all I needed to know this was the best reading light for me.

I can't say enough nice things about this product. It has dual lights on a flex shaft which you can position to fully illuminate both pages of a large hardback book. You wont need to keep moving the light around to light your pages with this one and the pages ar well lit for easy reading in the dark. But the light is centralized on the book and not the surrounding area so others can sleep while you read.

You can also switch from dual lights to a single light. The flexible shaft on the light is sturdy and stable enough to firmly hold its position over the book even while you move around and turn pages. You can either clip it on the cover or use the clip to hold open the pages. It operates on AAA batteries. The higher quality battery, the longer it lasts. I use the Duracell ultra digital batteries with the blue band.

I cannot think of any negatives about this product. I'm not associated with any seller. I am just a customer who was happy to find a great product. Definitely a good buy.

(More customer reviews)I've bought many book reading lights, but this is absolutely the best.The flex-neck allows the light to be evenly distributed over any book size, whether its paperback or hard cover.

The Lithium button cell batteries do seem to last a long time.If you buy them in bulk, it's not too expensive to replace, a much better option than the heavy rechargeable units.

It's now 2010, and have not found any reason to look for anything better from a weight, battery life, and function standpoint.I now have 3 for use in multiple locations.
