Spyderco Native Lightweight Plain Edge Knife, Pink Review

I bought this hoping my wife would be able to open it quickly and easily one handed. However, the action is a bit stiff, and while I can open it quickly with one hand, it takes more force than I'd like to have to use.She doesn't feel comfortable doing that, so she uses two hands to open it.Otherwise, very sturdy and very sharp and very pink.

SOG Specialty Knives & Tools TF-2 Trident Straight Edge Review

SOG Specialty Knives & Tools TF-2 Trident Straight Edge
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
very high quality knife for the money.

SOG's locking mechanism is very secure and easy to use. the assisted opening is smooth and fast. after a day of messing around, i could open and close the knife with both hands as easy as scratching my behind

the blade is a good size and cuts through most things well. however, i personally would prefer a sharper blade

SOG's zytel handle grips well and sits comfortably in my medium/large paws

the WORST part of this knife for me was the extra opening for cutting string/etc . . . unless you are cutting thin twine or fishing line it doesnt work very well

the BEST part of the knife, besides the lock action, is the clip. people see it and think, how in the turkey gravy are you going to concealed carry a knife with a 5" handle? simple. it is very thin and the clip is on the very end of the handle. it slips into your pants, leaving only the attractively styled "SOG" clip hanging out. the clip for mine (black TiNi) is also a dull black, hiding it from all but the most prying knives.

the clip is also NOT somewhere in the middle of the knife, a rather ridiculous feature of some CKRT, buck, and camillus knives. why would you EVER want 1/4 of your knife sticking out for the world to see? not to mention some of the knives from those manufacturers are almost as fat as a hot dog sausage. before i owned my knife i never really knew what to look for. now that i have my SOG that tucks securely into my pocket and out of prying eyes, i get a laugh out of other not-as-well thought out knives. .SOG is a great product for the money. jsut to try out different and better things, my next knife shall be a benchmade.

Product Description:
Blending elements from the Bowie, Tomcat, SEAL Pup, and Flash Series knives, SOG Specialty Knives and Tools has created a new breed of folding knife: the TF-2 Trident straight-edge knife. Designed for use by Navy SEALs, the TF-2 features SOG's grooved handle, which allows you to cut heavy cord and cable without having to open the specially designed blade. The TF-2's blade is easy to open and features Arc-Actuator technology, which helps the blade lock more strongly and release more easily.

The SOG TF-2 Trident Knife Offers:

A straight-edge blade with satin finish
The ability to cut paracord, fishing line, and more without having to open the blade
A strong, reliable blade locking system
    A contoured, glass-reinforced Zytel handle

S.A.T. propels the blade open for quick, safe, one-handed access. View larger.

The TF-1 features SOG's proprietary Digi-Grip for comfortable, confident handling. View larger.

Cut cords and cables quickly and safely with dedicated Groove technology. View larger.

A reversible clip lets the knife sit securely and discreetly in your pocket. View larger.
SOG Assisted Technology Increases Speed, Safety, and Usability
Fast, safe, single-handed opening makes SOG Trident Series knives incredibly easy to handle in a wide variety of situations. When you go to unfold the TF-2's blade, SOG's patented S.A.T. (SOG Assisted Technology) takes over. High-tension coil springs propel the blade open, so you can easily access it with just one hand.
S.A.T. knives offer security and peace of mind with their locking mechanisms that are stronger, more reliable, and easier to access than other knives'. For Trident Series knives, this means the blade is held in place with a reliable piston lock that can be quickly released with a sliding button. An additional safety lock offers extra security when the blade is closed, and for easy reference, the lock switch shows red when the knife is ready to be opened.
Cryogenic Heat Treatment Guarantees a Sharp, Dependable Blade
The TF-2 offers a full, 3.75-inch, scratch-resistant, satin-finished, AUS8 stainless steel blade that is heat treated. Because the workhorse of any knife is its cutting surface, SOG's proprietary Cryogenic Heat Treatment process ensures that its blade will stay sharp over the long haul. This intensive process takes more than 48 hours and requires reducing the blade's temperature to less than -300 degrees Fahrenheit, then slowly bringing it back up to room temperature. The stress created by this process strengthens the stainless steel at the atomic level and increases the blade's overall durability and edge retention.
Ergonomic, Lightweight Design Ensures Comfortable Use
Even if your blade is sharp, it's hard to make precise cuts if your knife doesn't fit comfortably in your hand. That's why this knife's handle is ergonomically contoured. Crafted from tough, glass-reinforced Zytel, the handle is well-balanced and features SOG's unique Digi-Grip texturing, a feature that gives you gripping power where you need it most. Additionally, the grooved handle allows you to cut heavy cord and cable without having to open the blade.
And at just 3.6 ounces, this folding knife is lightweight and easy to carry. A reversible, bayonet-mounted clip extends from the back of the handle, allowing the knife to sit low in your pocket for the most discreet carry possible. The removable clip is easily switched for right/left hand-carry.
This knife is backed by a lifetime warranty that protects against defects in manufacturing and materials.

SOG Specialty Knives & Tools SOGAC76 Access Card 2.0 Knife, Satin Review

SOG Specialty Knives & Tools SOGAC76 Access Card 2.0 Knife, Satin
Average Reviews:

This is a great every-day-carry knife, which is what I was looking for.The steel is good, it's ridiculously sharp out of the box, and so far through light duty it's held its edge very well.I clip it to my back pocket and it stays securely attached all day long.I've had several blades for EDC and they were all thicker in the handle area and after a while I would get tired of carrying them or looping my belt through the holsters. This blade is also very strong for such a small package -- I talked to SOG reps at a recent blade show in ATL and I think the lady said the downward pound limit was 300lbs (basically, how many pounds of pressure can you push straight down on the blade without it breaking out of the handle, etc). You can flick it open, so it's quickly deployed. While I wouldn't necessarily use it for self-defense, it's a good all purpose knife for EDC.

Gerber 30-000067 Icon Tactical Clip Folder Knife with Serrated Edge Review

Gerber 30-000067 Icon Tactical Clip Folder Knife with Serrated Edge

The blade came rather dull, but it was simple to fix that. The knife overall feels sturdy and weight is very light. When it comes to Gerber, I expect not the best, but some of the most hardy and resilient tools.Gerber has always impressed me with durability, and I feel this blade will be no exception. However, you do get what you pay for and the quality of this knife seems much less than some of the other more expensive blades I've owned by Gerber. It isn't a bargain, it's a cheaper product.Still good, still very useful and durable, but I don't get that 'quality feel' I get out of my other Gerber blades.A good budget buy this knife will make.

Columbia River Knife and Tool's 5590K H.U.G Razor Edge Knife and Money Clip, Black Review

Columbia River Knife and Tool's 5590K H.U.G Razor Edge Knife and Money Clip, Black

I've had mine for around 6 months. The black anodizing is wearing because I carry it in a pocket with change and keys. It is really sharp and extremely well built. I'd recommend this knife for anybody wishing a device to hold your paper money that also functions as a razor sharp knife that won't accidentally open, and has a foolproof locking mechanism once open. Of the 4 or 5 money clips I've owned, this one holds money the best. It is probably the prettiest thing I've ever carried in my pocket.

I give this product three thumbs up!!!

I had a K.I.S.S. first, but wanted something a step up, with a curved edge. The slight curve on this is perfect for me. I've had my HUG for about a year or so now, and it's wearing beautifully. It's the right size for not getting in the way, but remaining useful.

The one thing that needs to change about this knife is that the plastic piece on the handle goes up too far, making it difficult to open with one hand. Fortunately, plastic is not hard to carve, and I cut off part of what extended up toward the blade after the top fastening screw. Now it's perfect.

Victorinox Swiss Army Money Clip Review

Victorinox Swiss Army Money Clip
Average Reviews:

I used to lose pocket knives regularly because they would slip out of my pocket. I bought this knife because it is very compact and slim but has a useable length blade. Additionally, it has the exact tools I use regularly -- scissors and a nail file. I do not use the clip for money but instead use it to attach the knife to the watch pocket in denim jeans or a regular pocket in other pants. I have NEVER lost it and I have come to Amazon to purchase another one for an extra so I don't have to switch the knife around so much when I change into different pants. I have other knives with more tools but this is the knife I carry at ALL times.

Product Description:
From the renowned company that created the Swiss Army Knife more than a century ago comes the Swiss Army money clip, a handy multi-tool for folks who don't like to carry wallets. Measuring 3 inches long, the money clip is stylishly cased in a red, black, or silver housing with the familiar Victorinox logo on one side. On the other side, however, sits a handy money clip, which is designed to keep your Benjamins within easy reach. The rest of the clip is much like the familiar Swiss Army multi-tool, with such tools as a large blade, scissors, and a nail file with a nail cleaner. As with all Victorinox items, the money clip is made to exacting standards, with dozens of individual parts and hundreds of steps going into its construction. Victorinox attends to every detail, from selecting the finest materials--including stainless steel for the tools and rustproof aluminum for the separators--to performing the final inspection. In addition, each individual tool has been hardened in a different way to stand up to its designated use. Finally, the money clip is engravable, making it an ideal gift for executives or groomsmen. Made in Switzerland, the clip carries a lifetime warranty.
About Swiss Army Knives
In 1884, Swiss cutler Karl Elsener set up shop in Ibach-Schwyz, installing a waterwheel in Tobelbach Brook to run his grinding and polishing machines. Thus began what would become the international brand name Victorinox, a combination of Victoria, for Elsener's mother, and "inox," or stainless steel. Today, Victorinox produces watches, luggage, clothing, and, famously, Swiss Army Knives. The original product dates to 1897, when Elsener patented the Swiss Officer's and Sports Knife he supplied to the Swiss Army. Following World War II, American servicemen and women shopping in PX stores shortened the name to Swiss Army Knife, which lives on in English-speaking countries around the world and has become a metaphor for versatility.
