(More customer reviews)We have a Bright Light near a reading chair that I love...once you use one of these types of lights, you just don't go back to regular lamps w/bulbs.You can read for hours with no eye srain which is wonderful!I decided to get one of these to use by the bed table and thought the clamp would be ideal to save up some space....when it arrived I was a bit surprised!I guess I wasn't really paying attention to the measurements.This is a very large clamp on light (it looked more like a small oar in the box!)but after setting it up(very easy) and using it in bed while reading, it actually works out fine for what we needed. If you want something more 'dainty' or less clinical looking you might want to opt for something much smaller...but it does give out good natural light and it is adjustable which helps....not much difference between the two light settings however which I was hoping for a bigger change.Overall a good lamp and you can't go wrong with this type of light for your eyes, just make sure you have the room for it!

(More customer reviews)Both lamps were received damaged.I immediately sent a message through amazon to let the company know.4 days later i sent another message since i had heard nothing.The company claimed they never received the first one.Asked me to take Pictures of the damaged lamps which i did and sent them off to the company.Once again nothing.This has to be some of the worst customer service i have ever had with any company.I am still left with the damaged goods and the company is ignoring my messages.

RiteLite LPL616XL Six LED Task Light Review

(More customer reviews)Skip this item unless you 'absolutely' need a non-AC worklight with a large spring holding clamp.First of all, the long arms are not flexible and mostly just get in the way. Secondly, one of the LED's burned out after the first use. And thirdly, the much smaller, cheaper work lights that Amazon sells give just as much light (and often much MORE light) as this RiteLite. I would recommend the Streamlight clipmate.It's small, has a ball and socket rotation mechanism attached to a SMALL clamp (which is all you usually need), and the LED's are bright enough to allow you to see something more clearly even if working in a bright office environment (such as inside a computer or fax machine).At a better price, but giving just as much light as the over-priced RiteLight, Amazon sells the Kaito 6-LED Reading lamp. It doesn't have the long arms of the RiteLite, but you can put it on something like a box, etc, to allow it to shine down into the area in which you are working. But as mentioned above, if you really need BRIGHT light, the Stremloght clipmate is the choice.

(More customer reviews)I enjoy this reading lap so much, I had to buy another after my two year old cousin and her friend destroyed my old one.It is extremely easy to travel with, it is very bright, and the batteries last forever!It's durability is on a lower end, but it makes up for it in it's amazingness!If you're afraid little parts (like the back button) may fall off, then this is not the light for you.If you're looking for a small light with tons of power, then this is the light for you.

Halogen Clip-On Light Review

(More customer reviews)I bought 3 of these several years ago. The first thing I did was take off the cage around the light. I know it's there for safety reasons but it really gets in the way. I love the lamp because it clamps on to most table fairly easy. It's well constructed. I have bent them into tons of shapes and haven't broken them yet. I have a display at a trade show and I can direct the bright lights where I need them the most. I do have to say that the light gets very hot (thus the cages) but I always tell people not to touch them. I did bake an apple with one once! It was delicious. I teach drawing class and had the light on an apple for about an hour and it cooked it!

I removed the safety cage because they were falling off anyway and I didn't like the look of them. They run rather hot thought so I warn people not to touch them. Yes, Lamps Plus makes the customer pay for return shipping when an item is BROKEN. I will never online order with them again. This is too dangerous. What if a larger item is broken and I have to pay for return shipping? Better stick with Amazon and their excellent return policy if you look for a lamp like this.

Alvin G2540-D Swing-arm Lamp, White, 32in extension Review

(More customer reviews)I bought this lamp about 1 month ago and have been using it regularly since then.
Pros:
The lamp has a lot of reach and flexibility, can be easily clamped to the end of a table. The tension in the springs is good and each joint can be tightened further to lock motion. The electrical components like the switch and wire seem to be of a good quality and should last.

Cons:
There is no handle to move the head of the lamp when the lamp is on. When it is on, the head gets really hot because of the bulb, and moving it to a new position becomes difficult because of the temperature of the head. The work around is the use the black plastic baffle to move the head, but this is inconvenient.

Overall a it is a good deal especially compared to other similar products that are priced much higher.
