(More customer reviews)We have a Bright Light near a reading chair that I love...once you use one of these types of lights, you just don't go back to regular lamps w/bulbs.You can read for hours with no eye srain which is wonderful!I decided to get one of these to use by the bed table and thought the clamp would be ideal to save up some space....when it arrived I was a bit surprised!I guess I wasn't really paying attention to the measurements.This is a very large clamp on light (it looked more like a small oar in the box!)but after setting it up(very easy) and using it in bed while reading, it actually works out fine for what we needed. If you want something more 'dainty' or less clinical looking you might want to opt for something much smaller...but it does give out good natural light and it is adjustable which helps....not much difference between the two light settings however which I was hoping for a bigger change.Overall a good lamp and you can't go wrong with this type of light for your eyes, just make sure you have the room for it!

Also, the top of the light itself, which is metal burned me a few times as I was being clumsy, it gets hot very quickly.

(More customer reviews)Skip this item unless you 'absolutely' need a non-AC worklight with a large spring holding clamp.First of all, the long arms are not flexible and mostly just get in the way. Secondly, one of the LED's burned out after the first use. And thirdly, the much smaller, cheaper work lights that Amazon sells give just as much light (and often much MORE light) as this RiteLite. I would recommend the Streamlight clipmate.It's small, has a ball and socket rotation mechanism attached to a SMALL clamp (which is all you usually need), and the LED's are bright enough to allow you to see something more clearly even if working in a bright office environment (such as inside a computer or fax machine).At a better price, but giving just as much light as the over-priced RiteLight, Amazon sells the Kaito 6-LED Reading lamp. It doesn't have the long arms of the RiteLite, but you can put it on something like a box, etc, to allow it to shine down into the area in which you are working. But as mentioned above, if you really need BRIGHT light, the Stremloght clipmate is the choice.

(More customer reviews)I am a careful buyer and I do read all reviews before I buy.While most other lamps had many negative sides such "too bright, too weak, not robust, too hot.. etc," this lamp reviews had all good stuffs.

My desk is silverish glass desk, and I chose this color to matches with the color of my desk.

I worried that this would be weak because it looked too thin but all knobs are strong to hold lamps.

Another thing I worried was the glare from glass.However, the problem is solved with its infinite angles you can form.This gives you like maximum adjsutability.Since I have glass L desk, I just put it on corner space and let it rotate whenever I use different desk.

The coolest thing is that it makes you feel like you are under the sun.It does simulate like sunlight.No eyestrain from it.

I see many negative reviews of halogen lamp about hotness.This LED lamp doesn't get as hot as halogen that you can't touch.It does warm a bit but that's pretty much it.

Unlike fluorescent light, no flickering in the beginning.

As for life of the light , I don't know but the product promises 40K hours.I heard this also saves a lot of energy.Good for our environment as well.

The only downside is that the very bottom bar doesn't completely stick to the circular base that holds everything.So when you move your stand, be careful.Also the weakestr two lights are pretty weak that they are almost useless.You will mostly use 4th intensity(brightest) at night.And finally it is pricey.There might be many good lamps that can beat this lamp with cheaper price but I chose this lamp because of sexy thin look.

Anyway, I love its sleek and ergonomic design, robustly built and so far my eyes don't get tired like before.I recommend this to all and don't forget your eyes are important.
